A loose and amorphous collective of artists and designers, Real Bad Man was founded by former art director of Stüssy, Union and Undefeated Adam Weissman and artist Noah Butkis. RBM is a small record label as well as a graphics-heavy streetwear brand.
Weissman had become tired of working for people, seeking official approval before turning his visions into reality. In that way, Real Bad Man represents an ultimate freedom for Weissman’s unique aesthetics, which marry his design work with Butkis’s illustrations.
They wanted to bring streetwear back to its roots, give it the energy and authenticity that can’t be duplicated in corporate spaces.
